I've been browsing through food blogs (friends and others) lately for inspiration and ideas for my own.
Lots of delicious food, gorgeous photography, and great ideas.
This might be more than three....
Closet Cooking
Decadent Housewife
Delvious
icanhaznom
Just.One.More.Bite.
Orangette
My Madeleine
Smitten Kitchen
Tea & Cookies
This might have been the first blog I ever followed that didn't belong to a friend...

Website analytics
It is slightly addicting looking at blog stats.
No that I hope they go somewhere, but they are slightly mesmerizing.
If you have a blog, and if you dare, click on the stats tab and take a peek.
I just like looking at graphs, find where people are sitting in the world, and creating lives for people behind the numbers.
(Apparently Reebok needs to do change their zigpulse shoe name to squiggly shoes.)
Remember statistics class?
That class where you were told to question all numbers and all graphs can be skewed by the increments of the axis values. My values are small so every individual makes a huge fluctuation. It seems more exciting. Like watching stocks. The low priced stocks have such high percentage changes throughout the day. Each day is a bit of a roller coaster ride. No wonder why investors can be so emotional.
Back to the stats.
Someone recommended Google Analytics.
Can this really be more informative than my current blogger stat tracker? They are all Google, no?
But it is more informative and fascinating. You can see average time people spend on your site (3 minutes? maybe I shouldn't be so long-winded), the number of new visitors and bounce rates. I believe bounce rates are when someone visits your page and leaves without clicking around and exploring.
I'm not sure what my goals are for this blog. Currently it holds my meandering thoughts that I can't get around to handwriting in a journal. I think the easiest blogs are niche blogs with a well-defined topic and target demographic (e.g. moms with husbands overseas in the military, couponing, big city street style, ikea hacks, ridiculous drunken escapades of a shameless narcissist, etc.). I write simply to relax or share something I've been thinking about. I was thinking of starting a food blog for the outside world for quite awhile. But lately I think I eat way more than necessary and should cut back (I'm thinking most people don't order half rack of bbq ribs for lunch...).
Should a blog capture what you are going through right now or your journey to somewhere you want to be?

Yay Post #1
Hi! *wave*
I use to xanga all the time and decided to start fresh. Since I update my gmail status about 29847902749 times per day, I might as well stick it all in a blog.
[This is what happens when Steph and I don't carpool. I end sitting in my PJs all morning starting a blog.]
IcisiMi?
Ici = here (French)
si = is (Spanish)
Mi = rice (Mandarin) haha. or my last name. :)
I hope to in the future post pics, my meandering incredibly random thoughts, and my totally random dreams. Tammie says I should write a childrens book about touring the city in a bathtub. Last nights might not have been so kid-friendly.
Just for a taste, last night I dreamed I was on a plane that got hijacked. Actually the pilots and stewardesses made us nosedive and land in DC somewhere. I think near the capital? It was pretty. They kidnapped us and took us to Target and made us buy Lindsay Lohan cds and merchandise to boost her sales. I woke up and thought- odd.
------------------------------
Instead I will share with you the other blogs that inspire me. I've been reading a lot of mom blogs lately. You know, the moms that stay home with kids but keep the world updated on special happenings like baby says "Mama", they are all amazing photographers and have expert cleaning and cooking advice. In other words, Supermoms! They're all saved in my delicious account which I still have to load on this comp.
Here are my favorite blogs off the top of the dome-

it is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you can live as you wish.
