Truck Rally

My camera is acting very peculiar. I am not sure how some people can upload pictures every day, but I am much less consistent. Lately when I upload pictures from the Nikon, many of the pictures are not readable and stay on the SD card. Month later, during a different upload session, the pictures make an appearance and I think Doh! That's where those pictures went.

Time to play catch up.

First up, pictures from the summer. Suddenly in a reminiscent mood of warmer days and evening sunlight. My old college apartment neighbor (who I haven't seen in years!) and I met up in Palo Alto for a food truck rally. Where I ran into another college dorm neighbor. Small world. I love California summer days.

Dog days of summer

Whew! What a month!

This past week was probably my most stressful post-college. 

I can't wait to just relax. Unfortunately, I don't really know how to do that.

But I do know some dogs that do. 

I love taking pics of Jbear's dogs.

Especially the brown! He one doesn't even move. 

unless he rolls over to get his belly rubbed.

or there's food. 

or sees a squirrel.
(he loves squirrels so much he will jump out of moving vehicles to chase them.)

is that for me?

I could take pictures of this dog all day.
There are plenty more where that came from, unfortunately, iphoto is being difficult and not uploading all my 200 pictures at once. I get about 7 each upload. Maybe I'll get all of them by upload #30. Sigh. Technology frustrations.

Birthday Month Ends

I once commented to my stepdad that there sure were a lot of summer birthdays.
His response was, "we get cold".

The past 1.5 months have been a string of birthdays.

Happy to see old faces. Fun to make new memories.

But oh so tiring and stressful to plan, prep and/or just be there.

Glimpses of these party months.

Red carpet treatment for this one-year old's first birthday. An actual red carpet, balloons, live band, board games, musical instrument-making station, full bar, yum buffet, raffle, etc.
What is happening for number two?

I said I'll drop off the presents and leave.
Just eat a little bit. Okay, just one plate and I'll leave.

Just play one game. Okay, one game and I'm off.

Time for pictures. 

I met a woman expecting her 4th baby, attending her first baby shower.

I'm glad I stayed.

Jbear says if I ever have a baby
it would come out blue with crazy looking eyes because I would have a little cookie monster.

Did you hear about Sesame Street giving the character a healthy makeover because of Mrs. Obama's push for child nutrition?

Costco has 5lb tubs of nestle tollhouse cookie dough for less than $8. How can I resist? Ice cream sandwich time!

Jack guessed there would be a pinata and pulled the winning string. 

FYI: If it were raining dumdums, being pelted by the shower of hard candies would not deter kids from a hoarding frenzy.

Am I the only one who things silly bandz are pretty cool?

 Jayden finally got his bakugan he's been asking for for years.

10 cent fish may be smarter than turtles.
